Troubleshooting Guide for Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

Here are some common problems with the Garrison Deadbolt, along with tips for troubleshooting them:

1. Problem: The lock does not turn

Troubleshooting: If you try to turn your lock but it won’t budge, check that the green light on your keypad is lit up. If it isn’t, make sure that your batteries are fresh and replace them if necessary. You can also try turning the keypad upside down so that the batteries are facing downward into the lock housing instead of upward; this can sometimes help reset the unit if it becomes stuck in an error state or freezes up during use.

2. Problem: The lock fails to open after entering my code

Troubleshooting: If you enter your code correctly but still cannot get in, there could be several issues at play here. First, make sure that all numbers are entered correctly and that you did not accidentally hit any other buttons during entry (such as “0” or “00”).

3. Problem: The keypad doesn’t work

Troubleshooting: Make sure the batteries are in the right way and there isn’t any corrosion on them. If necessary, clean off the keypad with rubbing alcohol. If your batteries have been replaced recently, try replacing them again just to be sure that isn’t the issue. Check that there aren’t any cracks in the keypad and make sure it isn’t dirty or dusty — if it is, clean it off with a soft cloth or paper towel and rubbing alcohol. Also check that all of your connections are secure and there isn’t any corrosion on them — if there is, clean them off with rubbing alcohol as well.
