After the installation Garrison Electronic Deadbolt, you need to perform a door handing detection process. It is necessary to do because without it the lock will not work electronically.

This process also needs to be done after you have reset your lock to factory settings.

You can do the Door Handing Detection by following the steps stated below:

1. First you need to enter the default programming code (0000) and then press the garrison button.
2. Then press the number 0 on keypad and afterwards press the garrison button.

How To Change Programming Code On Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

Now that you have performed the door handing detection process your lock will perform electronically. Now we will move on to other programming instructions.

The Garrison electronic deadbolt has a default programming code of “0000”. To change this, follow these instructions:

1. Press the learn button on your remote. The learn button is located on the top left-hand side of the device.
2. Press and hold down the button you want to program for 3 seconds (tap or double tap). The LED will flash green and red when programming has begun.
3. Enter your new 4-digit code (you can use 0-9) then press OK/ENTER on your remote control or press LEARN on your Chamberlain garage door opener.
4. The LED will flash green again indicating that programming was successful!

Instructions to Add New User Codes on a Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

If you have an existing Garrison electronic deadbolt and are looking to add a new user code, follow these simple steps:

1. Press and hold the button on your keypad for 3 seconds or until all lights flash green.
2. Enter the current user code and press “ENTER”.
3. The screen will display “ADD CODES?” Press “ENTER” again
4. Enter your desired new User Code and press “ENTER”. The system will confirm that the new code has been added by displaying “CODES ADDED.”

Instructions to Delete User Codes on a Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

The Garrison electronic deadbolt is a great way to keep your home secure. You can create up to 30 user codes, and you can delete those codes when they’re no longer needed. Follow the steps below to delete a user code from the Garrison electronic deadbolt:

1. Make sure your lock is unlocked and the master code is active. Press and hold SET for two seconds until LED blinks twice, then release it.
2. Enter your current master code followed by the new master code you want to use. Press and hold SET for two seconds until LED blinks twice, then release it. The lock will then automatically enter programming mode, and LED will blink twice every 2 seconds for about 2 minutes until you press SET again or open/close the door with smart keypad.
3. Enter user code number you want to delete (maximum of 20). Press and hold SET for two seconds until LED blinks twice after each entry, then release it (if LED doesn’t blink twice after 5 seconds, press SET again).

Instructions to Enable/Disable All User Codes on the Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

When you disable the User Codes it will make them inactive for the time being. That means no User Code can unlock the lock until you enable ‘all User Codes’ function again. You can still lock and unlock the lock through the keyway using a physical key.

Here is how you can disable all User Codes:

1. Enter the present Programming Code and then press the garrison button.
2. Press number 8 on keypad and then the garrison button.

Also if you want to enable all User Codes, repeat the same steps.

Keep in mind that this feature doesn’t delete all your User Codes it only makes them temporarily inactive.

Instructions to Enable/Disable the Auto-Lock on A on the Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

1. To enable the auto-lock feature, press and hold the “Set” button for about 5 seconds. The LED will flash green, followed by a solid green light when the auto-lock feature is enabled.
2. To disable the auto-lock feature, press and hold the “Set” button for about 5 seconds. The LED will flash red, followed by a solid red light when the auto-lock feature is disabled.

Instructions to Factory Reset the Garrison Electronic Deadbolt

To perform a factory reset on this device, please follow these steps:

1. Power down the unit. If you are using an AC adapter, disconnect it from its power source. If you are using batteries, remove them from the unit and allow them to cool for at least 10 minutes.
2. Press and hold the “Lock” button on the front of the unit until it beeps once every three seconds (approximately 10 seconds). You should hear two beeps when it is done resetting itself.
3. Once you hear two beeps, press any button on your keypad to exit programming mode.
