Instructions to Change the Programming Code on Honeywell Digital Deadbolt
When you purchase your Honeywell digital deadbolt, it will come with four default access codes: 0-0-0-0, 1-1-1-1 and 2-2-2-2. These codes can be used as soon as you install your lock, but if you want more options for access or simply want to change them for any reason, it’s easy enough to do so.
- You need to enter the default/current Programming Code and then press the Unlock button on the keypad.
- Press number 4 on the keypad and then again press the Unlock button.
- Enter the new 6 digits Programming Code and press the Unlock button.
- At the last step Re-enter the new Programming Code to complete the process.
The light indicator on the lock will flash green light accompanied with a onetime beep indicating that the process is successfully completed.
Instruction to Add a User Code on a Honeywell Digital Deadbolt
The Honeywell Digital Deadbolt allows its users to add up to 50 User Codes that can be shared with anyone you trust or want to give access to your home while you’re away.
Each User Code must consist of 4-8 digits and is linked to a User ID from 01 to 50.
In order to add a user code on your device, follow the steps below:
- Press and hold the “Lock” button on the Honeywell Digital Deadbolt for 3 seconds until you see a series of flashes from the LED light on the touchscreen. This indicates that it is in programming mode.
- Tap on “Programming” from the main menu of your Honeywell Digital Deadbolt using your finger.
- Enter the 4-digit passcode that you want to use for this user code in the field provided then tap on “Confirm.”

- Remove the battery pack from the back of the lock. The battery pack slides out from under a metal tab on the top edge of the lock. If you have trouble removing it, use a butter knife or similar object to pry it out gently.
- Press and hold down the “0” button on your lock until all four digits of your personal identification number (PIN) appear in sequence on the display screen. Release this button when you see “0000.”
