Ezset Electronic Deadbolt Programming Instructions

If you have installed the Ezset Electronic Deadbolt, you will now have perform certain actions on it which includes creating/deleting user codes, enabling/disabling auto lock mode and more.

We have listed all the procedures in the easiest way possible. Before doing all such actions you need to perform the door handing process.

Without the door handing process your lock will nor work electronically. So without any further delay let’s Begin.

Here how you will perform Door Handing Process:

  1. Input the default programming code and press the Ezset button.
  2. Press the number 0 on keypad and then the Ezset button to complete the door handing process.

Keep in mind that you have to perform the programming in 6 seconds else it will fail.

How to Change the Existing Programming Code on Ezset Electronic Deadbolt

The Ezset Electronic Deadbolt generally comes with a default 4 Digit programming code (0000). This code enables the user to make any programming change they want to their lock. You can easily add/delete the user codes according to your need. But you need the programming code to enter the lock in programming mode. For security reasons you need to change the default programming code.

  1. Remove the battery cover and batteries.
  2. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the existing cover plate and remove it.
  3. Enter your new pin code into the keypad and press “Set.”
  4. Allow the lock to reset by pressing any button on the keypad after entering your new code. The lock will sound several beeps and blink green, then red, then green again to indicate that it has been programmed successfully.

Instructions to Add New User Code on Ezset Electronic Deadbolt

A user code is necessary to unlock the code via the lock’s keypad. One must need to create user code for entry purposes. The lock enables its users to generate up to 6 User codes (can be 4 – 10 digits Long) that can be shared with whomever you want to allow having access to your home.

You can add a user code by following the instructions down below:

  1. Input the present programming code and hit the Ezset button.
  2. Press the number “1” on keypad and then again the Ezset button.
  3. Enter the new user code and hit the Ezser button.
  4. The lock will light green along with a beep confirming that the process was successful.

Instructions to Delete a User Code on Ezset Electronic Deadbolt

The Ezset Electronic Lock comes with a default user code – 1234. You need to change it for security concerns. You can delete a user you have created yourself. Let’s see how:

  1. Input the programming code and press the Ezset button.
  2. Hit the number 2 on the keypad and then the Ezset button.
  3. Now you need to enter the user code to be deleted and then hit the Ezset button to complete the process.

If you want to delete all the user codes at once:

  1. Enter the programming code you are using and press the Ezset button.
  2. Hit the number 3 on the keypad and press the Ezset button afterwards to delete all the user codes at once.

The lock will light green accompanied with a beep declaring the process was successful.

Instruction to Disable/Enable All User Codes

If you disable your user codes it will them ineffective. Hence no user code will be able to unlock the door unless you enable all of them back.

Here is how you can disable the user codes:

  1. Input your current programming code and then press the Ezset button
  2. Now press the number 8 on keypad and afterwards the ezset button to complete the disabling function.

Instruction to Create a Disposable User Code on Ezset Electronic Deadbolt

  1. Input the present programming code and hit the Ezset button.
  2. Press number “9” on Keypad and then the Ezset button.
  3. Enter the disposable user code and hit the Ezset button to complete the process.

Instruction To Enable/Disable the Auto-Lock on the Ezset Electronic Deadbolt

The Auto lock feature automatically closes your door after a specific time. This feature is disabled by default so if you want to use it you have to enable it yourself.

  1. Input the present programming code and press the Ezset button.
  2. Hit the number “5” on the keypad and then the Ezset button.

Now that the auto-lock function will automatically lock your door if left unlocked after 30 seconds.

Instructions to Turn Off the Beeper Sound

If you are not comfortable with beep sound your lock makes you can turn it off. But keep in mind that if you turn it off you might not get the low battery and other error warnings on your lock.

  1. Input the in use programming code and press the Ezset button.
  2. Hit the number “7” on the lock’s keypad and then the Ezset button to turn the sound off.

Instruction to Factory Reset your Ezset Electronic Deadbolt

If you’ve forgotten your PIN, or need to reset your lock to its factory settings, here’s how.

  1. Remove the batteries from the lock.
  2. Press and hold down the “Reset” button on the back of the lock for 10 seconds. The lock will beep once when it resets itself.
  3. Re-insert the batteries into the lock and test it out!
